Tourism department will set up exclusive Virtual Reality Centres at major tourist destinations, state’s art and KTDC properties.
Expression Of Interest (EOI) is invited from the specialists of Virtual Reality Developers for setting up virtual reality and augmented reality centres at major tourist destinations.
Virtual Reality Centres will be equipped with latest technologies so that it will attract more tourists. The concept of virtual reality is more popular in foreign countries, India is new to this technology and is slowly developing here.
Virtual Reality is nothing but, which is not physically existing but it is made to appear through software. Augmented reality is also VR which user sees the digital content, generated through computers blends in their real surroundings which gives user a complete real experience.
As per the sources the VR centres are likely to set up at Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram.
