Happy news for the ‘bike-maniacs’ out there. Bajaj motorcycle is all set to launch its Husqvarna motorcycle in India in 2019. Finally, it’s about to hit the roads in India.
The confirmation of launch was revealed during the company’s annual general body meeting that happened in Pune.
The company is in fact not launching one but two Husqvarna bikes, the Svartpilen 401 and the Vitpilen 401. They will be produced at Bajaj’s Chakan plant which is starting next year. Similar to the KTMs, the Husqvarnas will too be heavily localised and will be exported to the rest of the world.
The General Body meeting even revealed new developments of the company to collaborate with Triumph Motorcycles in the next few weeks. The alliance will help for a joint venture to manufacture new motorcycles in the middle-weight category.
This Husqvarna is likely to be positioned as a premium brand above KTM. This will indeed help the manufacturer to include a wider segment and increase its overall market share.
