Suzuki Motor Corp. recently announced their partnership with Toyota. Maruti Suzuki is likely to supply 20,000-25,000 units of Baleno cars to Toyota Motor corp. as a first phase of agreement, that would see both the manufacturers will jointly produce and sell the cars in India.
Suzuki will supply around 20,000 units of Baleno cars to Toyota each year for its own re-bodied and re-badged versions and will be sold through the Toyota dealership network.
Currently, the car is manufactured in the Suzuki’s factory in Gujarat. And the present models will undergo certain changes in its exteriors and interiors such as head lamps, tail lamps and front grill.
“The decision has already been taken by both the headquarters in Japan and the first vehicle to be launched will be Baleno,” said the spokesperson.
And above that, both the manufacturers has already decided on the number of vehicles to be supplied.
Baleno cars will set to become the first cross- badged product of the auto makers.
