“Semmozhiyaana Tamizh mozhiyam“ ( Its our Tamil language which is(now) classic language), the Tamil anthem which was born when ‘the scholar’ joined with the ‘Mozart’.
The rich piece of literature penned by M. Karunanidhi and composed by musician A.R. Rahman was the theme song for World Tamil Conference in June 2010.

The song is a tribute to Tamil language which expresses the rich contributions of Tamil culture and literature for over centuries.
The key message of the song is that “ all are equal by birth” and he highlighted the works of Tamil poets of Kambar and Avvaiyar.
It took two and half months for Rahman to complete the recording of the song. The song is a fusion of various musical styles including Carnatic, Rap, Folk, Sufi, Acoustic and Rock.
