Today, Infosys, India’s second largest software services firm announced that they had signed a three-year partnership with the Australian Open as its official digital innovation partner.
In a statement, Infosys said they will influence its expertise in emerging technologies like Big Data and Analytics, AI as well as Virtual and Augmented Reality to avail unique innovation and engaging experience for fans. However, the financial details of the deals are yet behind the veil.
Craig Tiley, Tournament Director, Australian Open, said, “Partnering with Infosys is an exciting next step in our ongoing quest to innovate the Australian Open and engage new audiences across the world.”
Tennis Australia is involved in governing tennis in Australia. They even promote and facilitate participation of sport at all levels. They are behind conducting national and international tournaments and events. Salil Parekh, Infosys CEO and Managing Director said that the partnership is about creating new ways of experiencing the Australian Open.
He added, “We are really excited about the opportunity to showcase how digital technologies can enhance the boundaries of this tournament, to change the way the Australian Open is watched, analysed and played.”
