Last weeks, huge crowd gathered on the set s of Lucifer shouting slogans caught wide attention. In an interaction with media, Prithviraj Sukumaran, the film director explained that, “The reason for the jam-packed locations is not just because Lalettan is the hero of the film but the premise and scenes required such a setting and mood, especially for the scenes that we are shooting right now.”
In this movie, Mohanlal plays the role of a politician and the scenes that were being shot apply to his role.
Lucifer is much anticipated movie since it will mark the directorial debut of actor Prithviraj. Along with Mohanlal, Manju Warrier, Indrajith Sukumaran, Vivek Oberoi and Tovino Thomas play pivotal roles.
As supporting actors, Kalabhavan Shajon, Sai Kumar, director Fazil, Sunil Sughatha, Thara Kalyan, Praveena Thomas and Mala Parvathy too plays role in Lucifer.
Reportedly, Mohanlal’s character in Lucifer is named as Stephen Nadumballi is a politician. The versatile actor will appear in a salt and pepper get-up. Under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, the movie will be bankrolled by Antony Perumbavoor.

Prithviraj is on a break from his acting and is focusing mainly on his directorial debut. On July 18, the shooting commenced and further shooting of the movie were extended to Thiruvananthapuram, Mumbai and Kuttikkanam.
Cinematography will be done by Sujith Vasudevan and editing will be handled by Samjith. The music composing is safe in the hands of Stephen Devassy.
The script for Lucifer was penned by Murali Gopy, the veteran writer cum actor. The movie was a brainchild of late director Rajesh Pillai and Murali Gopy.
