For the classic 350, RE has introduced a rear disc brake on the base variant. It was in last year, that Classic 350 to feature a rear disc brake with the gun metal shade was introduced.
The base Classic 350 with rear disc brake has been priced at Rs 1,47,195 (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
The twin-disc variant of the Classic 350 doesn’t come equipped with ABS. It is only available on the Signals variant which priced Rs 1,61,984 (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
Rudratej Singh, president explains that the company is having a plan to dual-channel ABS across its range and the addition of a rear disc brake on the base Classic 350 is a step in the same direction.
No changes have been made other than the addition of a rear disc to Royal Enfield’s most popular motorcycle. The variant is powered by a 346cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine, producing 19.8hp and 28Nm of peak torque, and is paired to a 5-speed gearbox.
Soon RE is planning to launch 650 twins expected to go on sale in India by late 2018.
