Facebook owned photo sharing social networking ‘Instagram’ is back after the worldwide outage on Wednesday. The app suffered a global outage as both the application and website were hit to one billion users due to unknown issues.
According to the reports, the mobile app and website which were temporarily down are back up and now users could post pictures and videos . Earlier, the app showed a message “couldn’t refresh the feed”, while the site was down.
Users took micro blogging site Twitter to complain about the interruption. The site was flooded with jokes, comments and memes with a hashtag #instagramdown.
A instagram user @De9011 tweeted: “#instagramdown. Instagram people: Where we should go !! Twitter !! Facebook !!?”.
18 percent of the users complained that the website was not loading correctly and half of the users complained that Instagram’s News Feeds are not working properly, whereas other 30 percent complained about login issues.
The app has more than one billion active users. Facebook brought this app in 2012.
