The markets opened on Thursday with Sensex witnessing a sharp fall of 614. 47 points to open at 35,361.16. The Nifty came down 155.10 points to start at 10,723.
The metal sector, has been rising for the last couple of sessions, except for that, all sectoral indices are traded in red.
Indian rupee hits record low of Rs.73.76 per US dollar on Wednesday and also witnessed a downfall of 43 paise when compared to the rate of Monday .
Fuel prices are witnessing a sharp rise in many parts of the country. Petrol price has again rised by 15 paise in Delhi and is sold at Rs. 84 per litre. The diesel cost also rised by 20 paise and is sold at Rs. 75.45.
In Mumbai, the petrol price is rised by 14 paise and diesel price rised by 21 paise and it is sold at Rs.91.32 per litre and Rs. 80.10 per litre respectively.
