After the great disaster, Kerala is again under the threat of heavy rainfall. The Indian Meteriological Department said that the cyclone formed in the Southeast Arabain sea may develop into severe depression.
Due to this many parts of the state is lashed with heavy rainfall. Red alert has been issued to Idukki, Palakkad and Thrissur districts.
High range in Idukki received heavy rainfall on Thursday. Water level is rising in Mullaperiyar and Idukki dam. The water level in Mullaperiyar has touched 130 ft. The authoirities have decided to open the shutters of the Idukki Cheruthoni dam. Water will released in small quantity.
Earlier,the government had warned the fishermen not to venture into sea after October 5th. Heavy rains are expected till October 7th.
