On Sunday, Home Minister Rajnath Singh said that the naxals will be wiped out from the country within three years.
While addressing the 26th anniversary celebrations of Rapid Action Force(RAF), Singh pointed that the action should be rapid and quick but never ‘reckless.’ Sing also said that the districts affected by Naxal violence in the country have come down as compared to earlier times.
He also made it clear that the Naxals will be cleared from the country within a period 1-2 or 3 years and it would happen due to the determination, courage and hardwork of CRPF officers and the state police forces.
He added that “I congragulate you on the kind of work you have done in the LWE theatre of the country,” The Minister pointed that the force has killed 131 Maoists and militants this year. Also it has effected 58 surrenders during the same time. He stated that Jammu and Kashmir where the CRPF is posted as the lead counter-militancy force and it will be an inseparable part of India.
He even talked about the specific role of the RAF and pointed that they should never do anything that will label them as brutal. He pointed that one should know how to behave during crowd control and similar duties and should always know how much and when to use force.
