Mumbai Congress President Sanjay Nirupam said that the maximum cities will standstill if the north Indians decides to stop working. Further, he claims that the city would come to a halt and even the people won’t get food to eat if the north Indians weren’t there.
As per reports, while speaking at an event of north Indians, Nirupam said that nobody should try and force this community to take such an action. Even though he made such statements, but he didn’t name any individual or political party and he left it open to different interpretations.
He said that “If the community decides to stop work for a day,life in Mumbai will come to a standstill. It happens sometimes, but it should not be done.The community should not be forced to take such a step,”
Also he pointed that the north Indian community had always expressed gratitude towards Mumbai and Maharashtra, added that “It is the north Indian community which runs the lives or shoulders, the burden of the people of Mumbai,”
