Two people died as Cyclone Titli makes landfall near Palasa in Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh. Titli made a landfall in Odisha and Andhra Pradesh on Thursday morning. Telephone connections and power supply got distrupted and the roads breaked due to uprooted trees and electric poles.
Animals were killed and a fishing boat with five fishermen onboard were overturned in Gopalpur due to severe storm. However, the fishermen were rescued.

According to Meteriological department, Titli, is categorized as a “very severe cyclonic storm”, which hit the coast with a speed of 140 to 150 kmph. It is expected to weaken gradually with decreasing wind speed and is moving towards West Bengal.
