#MeToo campaign is a movement against sexual harassment and sexual assault, through the campaign several survivors of sexual harassment has started revealing the sexual abuse they had suffered.
Several serious allegations were revealed and it have been leveled against established actors,politicians and industrialists. Recently, the first runner-up of Miss Super Globe World 2018, Archana Ravi joined the campaign. Archana was the youngest Keralite to represent India to take part in an International beauty pageant.
While talking about the misbehaviours, she said that “I have to say that the fashion industry is no different when it comes to misbehavior. I have faced several instances within my short journey where I had to say loud ‘NO’s.’
She also pointed that young talents in the fashion industry have to face several sexual advances by offering better career opportunities. She added that, “No one is going to help you out in shaping your career. If you receive an offer of better opportunity, realize that the person who extended it has some vested interest or motive. My career was shaped by a number of ‘NO’s,” Archana stated that she had been under severe stress due to such advances at the beginning of the career.
