A Dubai-based Air India flight with 136 onboard scratched a wall while taking off from airport at Trichy in Tamil Nadu last night.
The flight took off around 1:30 am when two of its wheels touched the airport’s compound wall. The flight then flied to Mumbai and was landed safely. All passengers remain safe and an alternative flight has been arranged to take off the passengers to Dubai.
The airport officials noticed that the airplane might have touched the compound wall of the airport and when informed about it, pilot reported that all the systems are functioning normally.
However, the Directorate – General of Civil Aviation has been informed about the incident and the pilots have been taken for the investigation.
Mumbai airport authorities are examining the damages of the aircraft.
