The Supreme Court Collegium headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi recommended five names to appoint as the judges of Kerala High Court on Thursday. They include three lawyers and two judicial officers.
The Apex Court recommended the names of V.G.Arun, N.Nagaresh and P.V.Kunhikrishnan, all three of them are Kerala High Court lawyers. The Two judicial officers are N.Anil Kumar, Registrar General, High Court and T.V. Anil Kumar, Director, Kerala Judicial Academy. The High Court Collegium had submitted a proposal for the appointment of seven judges to the High Court.
N.Nagaresh was serving as the Assistant Solicitor General in the High Court. V.G. Arun completed law from Law Academy, Thiruvananthapuram and began his practice in the High Court in 1991. P.V. Kunhikrishnan has been practising law from 24 years at High Court. N. Anil kumar was appointed as the Registrar General in 2013 and T.V. Anil Kumar was appointed as the Director of Kerala Judicial Academy in 2016.
