Today, the Kerala High Court dismissed a petition filed by Akhila Bharat Hindu Mahasabha seeking a directive to the Centre to issue an order granting permission to Muslim women to enter Mosque for offering prayers along with men.
The plea petition was filed by Swamy Dethathreya Sai Swaroop Nath, State President of the Mahasabha, Thiruvananthapuram. He demanded it on the context of the SC verdict permitting the entry of women devotees in Sabarimala temple, Kerala.
In the state, the Muslim women are not permitted to enter the main prayer halls of mosques.
The petitioner was not able to establish that there was a denial of entry for Muslim women to the mosques. Till the date, no Muslim women haven’t approached the court with such a complaint.
