On Friday, Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi came forward in support of the #MeToo movement. Congress chief pointed that it is time for the truth to be told loud and clear in order to bring about change’.
Though he talked about the campaign but he didn’t made any statements on the charges of sexual harassment against Union Minister M J Akbar. Through the #MeToo campaign, several sexual harassment survivors started revealing the sexual abuse they had suffered.
Rahul Gandhi took the matter to his Twitter with a hashtag MeToo and noted “It’s about time everyone learns to treat women with respect and dignity. I’m glad the space for those who don’t,is closing.The truth needs to be told loud and clear in order to bring about change,” Earlier, on Thursday, Congress chief said that #MeToo is a big issue and he will open up about his view on a press conference.
