Today, the country’s first park for canines has been inaugurated in the city of Hyderabad. It is spread over 1.2 acres in Hyderabad’s Kondapur area. The park was developed by the Greater Hyderabad Muncipal Corporation (GHMC) at a cost of Rs.1.1 crore.
Pet lovers have to spend Rs.10 to enter the park, which the authorities say has been built with international standards.
Harichandan Dasari, Zonal Commissioner, West Zone, GHMC said, “It is India’s first certified Dog Park built with international standards. It has been built in 1.2acres in Kondapur area. We will charge ten rupees to each responsible pet owner who comes to this park with their dog.”
Pooches can enjoy extravagant experiences since the park house has a splash pool, an amphitheatre, loo café and three lawns.
A year ago the work for park was initiated and the idea was conceptualized keeping in mind the fear dog owners has while walking with their dogs on the road.
