Shuttler P.V. Sindhu entered the second round of the women’s single event in the French Open in Paris on Tuesday. Sindhu had a easy 21-17, 21-18 win over American Beiwan Zhang. Interestingly, for Sindhu it was like taking revenge against the same opponent who deafeated her in the first round of the Denmark Open.
The world no.3 Sindhu will now face Japan’s Sayaka Sato in the next round of the French Open.
The men’s double pair of Arjun MR and Shlok Ramachandran were lost to Chinese opponents. Saina Nehwal and Kidambi Srikanth will play their first round matches on Wednesday.
