Media One TV Camera Chief Thaha Abdul Rehman passed away at Kozhikode. He was the former Camera Chief of Reporter TV. He was 47 years old. He died of cardiac arrest.
Thaha started his media career as a cameraperson in Indiavision, he has also worked with Darshana TV and TV New.
Thaha Abdul Rehman gave fame as a cameraperson in the the initial stage of famous political and social satire programme Munshi in Asianet.
After leaving Asianet he joined Indiavision as Chief Cameraperson. He had also produced and anchored programme called “Cinemayum Jeevithavum” for Indiavision.
He was very active with Kerala Theatre Society. His roles in plays Cheri, Kadaltheerath, Theenmuriyile Durantham were critical and commercial success.
” He was very passionate about his work. While doing a television show, he not only concentrated on camera, but on the whole work, he was curious about each concept that he worked. Beyond a cameraperson, he was an all-rounder”, said Abhilash Mohanan, News Editor, Reporter TV.
“I personally met Thaha, after he came to MediaOne. He was good colleague. Wherever he go, he exhibited his professional excellence and I consider his demise as not only a loss for MediaOne but for the whole Malayalam television industry”, said C.L. Thomas, Editor-In-Chief, MediaOne.
He is survived by his wife Nishaana and two children Mohammed Bhayan and Bharsa Thaha. The burial will take place on Tuesday evening at Kollam, Thevalakara Chaliyath Jama-Ath Khabaristhan. His was born to Abdul Rehman and Rabiya. A. R. Sainulabdeen, Salim, Noushad, Noufal , Ramla Beevi, Suhra Beevi, Zeenath Beevi, Hafsath Beevi, Aabida Beevi and Subaida Beevi are his siblings.
