The third day of 13th Kerala Assembly session adjourned due to protests from Opposition members over Sabarimala issue. Speaker P Sreeramakrishnan dismissed the Question & Answer hour as the members of Opposition protested on the dais. The Opposition members shouted slogans in the centre space of the house holding placards and banners.
The Leader of opposition demanded that adjournment motion must be considered and the Question and answer to be cancelled. They demanded to consider the adjournment motion notice submitted by Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan. The adjournment motion notice is given seeking the immediate measures on the poor facilities in Sabarimala. But, Speaker didn’t accepted their demand.
The Oppositon staged protest outside the assembly. Speaker warned of taking strict actions against the Opposition members but they didn’t paid attention to his words. Following this Speaker adjourned the session and refused to consider the adjournment motion notice stating that as per the Assembly rules “two adjournment notices on the same issue cannot be considered ”.
