Two people including a police officer killed after a mob clashed with the Police over issue of illegal cow slaughters in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr on Monday. The Police officer died after sustaining severe injuries. Inspector Subodh Kumar Singh, died at a private hospital. A local resident was also died and several policemen sustained serious injuries.
According to Police, right wing activists along with some locals gathered outside the Chingrawati Police Station complaining that they found the remains of the cows in their surroundings. After some protest, the mob suddenly turned violent and started throwing stones at the Police Station. Inspector Subodh Kumar Singh, who had arrived to restore the law died in the stone attack.
As per the primary reports given by the doctors the Inspector had died of blunt injury to the head.
The violence started in the morning and the angry protestors destroyed around 15 vehicles.
A Special Investigation Team has been formed to investigate into the matter. Tight security has been arranged in the area.
