A video posted Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Twitter shows Indian team captain Virat Kohli celebrating India’s historic win over Australia with the Bharat Army. Virat Kohli is seen dancing for the song “Mere Desh Ki Dharthi” with the Bharath Army at Sydney Cricket Ground.
India completed 2-1 historic win against Australia after the final match ended in draw since the play was cancelled due to continous rain. In the series, India conquered the Adelaide and Melbourne tests by impressive scores.

“We wish to congratulate the Indian team for becoming the first Asian team to win a Test series in Australia and to create cricket history,” said the BCCI’s Acting President C.K. Khanna.
In the series, Cheteshwara Pujara delivered a level best performance by scoring 521 runs and emerged as the highest scorer of the series. The right hand batsman’s performance was largely praised by BCCI. CK Khanna said “Special mention is being made of Cheteshwar Pujara for producing career-best performance in the series. He richly deserved two man of the match awards and his first Player of the series award.”
