Resul Pookutty has once again made the Malayalees proud with his achievement. He has been selected as the board member of MPSE ( Motion Pictures Sound Editors Guild Of America). MPSE is the highest organization of the Sound editors in the world.
Resul Pookutty announced this through his facebook page. His name is found with some of the notable personalities of the world in sound editing. He is also the first Asian Sound designer to serve as the board member of MPSE. He is elected as the board member for a term of two years.
His new film “The Sound Story”, which captured sounds of Thrissur Pooram , has been shortlisted for the 91st Academy Awards and is competing in the best film category.
MPSE is an organisation which is established in 1953 to educate the public and other filmmaking community about the artistic merit of the sound editing. The organisation is also for improving the recognition of its members.
