Akhilesh Yadav and Mayawati has called for a press conference tomorrow to announce their battle for the 2019 Loksabha elections.
Bahujan Samaj Party leader Mayawati and Samajwadi Party’s Akhilesh Yadav has been in talks for the last few weeks and as per the reports they are preparing to fight against the Bharathiya Janatha Party by forming a “mahagathbandan” leaving Congress aside.
As per the sources in 80 parliamentary seats of Uttar Pradesh, SP and BSP have agreed to contest in 37 Loksabha seats each while the remaining seats will be left for the Congress, Rashtriya Lok Dal and other small parties.
Samajwadi party’s alliance with Congress in 2017 did not work as they lost to BJP with huge majority.
Last year, Akhilesh Yadav and Mayawati ended the rivalry and formed a alliance with other parties to contest in three bypoll elections. The alliance won the three seats from BJP and it gave them confidence to continue and work together.
Mayawati is also having talks with the leaders inside and outside the state. BSP announced their support to the Congress in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan to put down BJP.
