On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a scathing attack towards Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu during his visit to Guntur to launch BJP’s election campaign.
PM Modi hit at Naidu and said that “Why does he often claim that he is senior to me ? Yes, he is senior to me in switching sides, forming new alliances and backstabbing his seniors-just the way he deceived his father-in-law(NT Ram Rao) ,” Adding to this, he said that Naidu was using public money to make his visits to Delhi for the meetings with the alliance partners.
PM Modi even accused the TDP chief for misusing public money for his campaigns and pointed that BJP workers always pay for their own campaigns. PM Modi arrived in Vijayawada’s Gannavaram airport on Sunday and was received by Governor, but then breaking the protocol no one from Naidu’s cabinet was present at the airport to receive the PM.
Ahead of PM Modi’s visit, TDP,Congress and Left parties are protesting and large posters of ‘No more Modi and Modi never again’ were seen on the roads. In some regions, TDP protesters waved black flags and they even burnt tyres and PM’s effigies.
In response to Modi’s visit, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that “It is a dark day. PM Modi is coming to witness the injustice that was done to Andhra Pradesh by him. He is weakening the states and constitutional institutions. PMO’s intervention in Rafael is disrespect to the nation,”
