On Thursday, former AICC spokesperson Tom Vadakkan joined the BJP. As per reports, Vadakkan claimed that he could not continue in the Congress party after it questioned the integrity of the armed force.
While addressing the media, Vadakkan said that “The attack by Pakistan based terrorists on our land and the reaction from my party was sad indeed,” Also added that “It hurt me deeply when you question the integrity of the armed forces. It’s not about the ideology, It’s about love for the nation.”
He received the party membership from senior BJP leader and Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad. Vadakkan added that he was leaving Congress in protest against the party’s stand on Pulwama terror attack.
Also he pointed that the major developments made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi made him to join his party. Vadakan’s political activities were limited to Delhi and he did not have a major role in the Kerala unit of the party.
